Computer Crafts acquired IBM Optical Lab in 1995. Along
with the equipment, we also have the technical expertise from the lab joined
Computer Crafts. Some are still working on enhancing
our lab capabilities. Today, Computer Crafts is one of the
few cable manufacturing companies that can offer full
optical components evaluation services.
Major OEMs have used our technical resources and lab
services for their
interconnect Design and development projects.

In certain cases,
OEMs want to generate revenue from cabling components but they do not
want the cost associated with the logistics, warehousing, material
receiving and inspection aspects of such an operation. The drop-ship
program allows the OEM to deal with the customer's order and as far as
the customer is concerned, the product appears the have been shipped
from the OEM.
